What is confirmed

Official copy, in all caps: YOU CAN’T KILL THE BOOGEYMAN. The F13 search habit (how to kill jason) maps here to detain, not a kill. The end screen is MICHAEL DETAINED! Remaining civilians do not need a car or cellar after that.

Arrest is not “down him five times.” The trophy You can’t kill the Boogeyman is five civilian knockdowns. The arrest recipe is: fill the arrest meter, land one knockdown after it is full, then complete a short Arrest minigame before he stands. He can still hurt people on the ground. If the prompt never appears, the arrest fails.

A cop or Dr. Loomis should be present. A human player has to be in one of those roles to Arrest; NPC officers wander and will not finish the cuff. You do not have to die to come back as a cop: escaping into spectator and calling Reinforcements also works. Put him away is the Loomis detain trophy.

Bloodthirst does not flip Arrest off. It is Myers’ three-tier power bar from stalking, killing, and lingering on bodies. Higher tiers mean more stun resistance, faster stun recovery, longer grabs, and shorter ability cooldowns, so knockdown takes more hits. A knockdown also dumps a large chunk of Bloodthirst before he sits back up.

Meter duration and Arrest button timing are unpublished as numbers. Whether a full Bloodthirst bar can still be Arrested if the meter is ready is unpublished; what is published is that Bloodthirst makes the knockdown harder. A grab is not published as an instant kill; player reports say a full-health civilian can struggle out.
