Steam and reviews place the game on Halloween night, 1978, in Haddonfield. IllFonic had Carpenter and Malek Akkad involved. This is the 1978 root, not Blumhouse 2018 / Kills / Ends, and not Rob Zombie’s remake.

Story mode is about two hours across six chapters, played as Myers from Smith’s Grove through the mask and knife, filling gaps the movie does not show. It is not a shot-for-shot remake.
