What is confirmed

The branch is Chapter 5, Into the Shadows, after the Loomis fight. The HUD flags a nearby escape: railroad, sewer, or cornfield. Optional police and resident challenges in that chapter do not pick the ending. Walking into a flagged exit does.

Railroad. A train countdown appears at the crossing. Wait until the train has fully cleared, then cross at the red signals. Pushing through while the train is on the tracks fails the window.

Sewer. The prompt shows in the northern half of the map. Slip past the fenced officers, then pry the sewer entrance. That starts the cutscene.

Cornfield. Least stumbled into. Leave the town streets into the surrounding fields instead of following the urban north route.

You can finish one exit, then replay Chapter 5 for the others. You do not replay the Prologue or Chapters 1 through 4.
